Kanyini means..............
The word Kanyini comes from The First People of Australia and means connection, responsibility and unconditional love for all of creation and it envelops the four principles of aboriginal life:
Tjukurrpa – Creation Period (or what non-aboriginals call ‘dreamtime’)
Kurunpa – Spirit, Soul, Psyche
Walytja – Family, Kinship
Ngura – Land, Home, Place or Mother
They believe, if you loose the connection to these principles you become dysfunctional and a lost soul.
Perhaps the early settlers had lost this connection well before they arrived in Australia.
So long so, that generations had passed before it was mistaken as normal.
Then it was unconsciously imposed on the First people, disconnecting them from their Kanyini.
This has created an unhealthy situation in Australia.
When I was asked to make a song about Kanyini and the prayer of Uncle Bob Randall, I had to approach it from the attitude of life is perfect. I opened my mind to the bigger picture beyond right and wrong and directed my thoughts and feelings towards a way forward.
I spoke with the Uncle and we agreed it was a good idea that we all pray for the Kanyini to return.
In a new universal or global form.
Where we can all call each other family, regardless of race colour or creed, where the Earth is our home and Mother, where the religion is Love, kindness and respect and we are all connected to the Spirit of Life that runs through all things.
Thank you Bob Randall for your great work, your prayer and inspiration for this song.

SONG LYRICS
Tjukurrpa Kurunpa Walytja Ngura. X2
We walked away, long time ago we took away our Kanyini.
We turned away, long time ago we took away, our connection
to Kanyini.
Tjukurrpa – Our ancestors, our dreaming.
Kurunpa – Our spirit, our soul.
Walytja – Our kinship, our family.
Ngura – Our land, our home.
With love I offer this prayer
in the name of all that is sacred and holy.
With love I offer this prayer
in the name of all in the name of Kanyini.
Chorus:
Kanyini, Kanyini, Kanyini, return return. X4
A world fusion of devotional chanting. Ancient mantras mixed with English translations and his own heartsongs, Kevin's voice
and songs reflect an emerging culture of oneness and vibrations of the heart.
The music invites you to sing along and completely let go of your thoughts to that which is beyond the mind.
Originally from Australia, he now leads circles and retreats all over the world....more
